Top 5 News and Magazines Apps Performance in Portugal Q3 2024

In the third quarter of 2024, the performance of the top News and Magazines applications in Portugal showed diverse patterns in terms of downloads and revenue, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Fogos.pt saw a significant fluctuation in weekly downloads. Starting with a moderate 760 downloads in early July, the app experienced a substantial spike, reaching over 45K downloads in mid-September. However, the numbers sharply declined towards the end of the quarter. Despite this download activity, the app did not generate any revenue during this period.

Notícias ao Minuto Portugal maintained a steady increase in downloads throughout the quarter. Beginning at approximately 2.8K downloads per week, the app peaked at 4.5K in early September, closing the quarter with a slight dip to 4.1K. Like Fogos.pt, this app did not record any revenue during Q3.

Fox News International demonstrated varied trends in weekly downloads and revenue. Downloads fluctuated significantly, peaking at around 4.7K in mid-August, while revenue remained relatively stable, ranging from $154 to $295 weekly. The app also saw a notable increase in active users, ending the quarter with approximately 3.6K.

Totoloto, Euromilhões Lotarias experienced modest download numbers, with weekly figures mostly hovering around 300 to 700. Revenue was minimal, with occasional peaks, the highest being $74 in early September.

Lastly, SAPO had a consistent download trend throughout the quarter, with a remarkable surge to 2.9K downloads in the final week of September. However, the app did not generate any revenue during this period.
